Cryptocurrencies are really nice as a mechanism of transaction.

They aren’t and won’t ever be a good store of value.

Thing like money, metal and even various tokens can be a store of value, because they are backed up by a physical entity or are themselves a physical entity with some inherent value.

Storing value (i.e. investing) in Bitcoin is similar to storing value at a roulette table by telling them: Just put 3/4th of all my money on red every 12 hours.
