Huh ? Euler is probably the best known mathematician besides maybe Pythagoras, Euclid and Archimedes.

There’s literally so many things named after him that they started calling things discovered by him after the name of the second person to discover them or the first person to apply them or modify them in the current modern-formulation we use… since otherwise things would get confusing.
